Privacy Policy

The short version: signed out, nothing you enter leaves your browser. Signed in, your text records sync and your images still never do.

Signed out — nothing leaves your browser

Without an account, everything you enter — DNA and protein sequences, experimental data, notebook entries, cell line records, reagent orders, freezer inventories — is stored only in your browser's local storage on your own machine.

Signed in — text records sync, images never do

When you sign in, your text records — notebook entries, protocols, and your freezer, reagent, antibody and cell line inventories — are saved to your account so they survive a cleared cache. Images are not uploaded in either case: microscopy, blot and gel files are processed in the browser and stay there.
