Can I link a colleague straight to a specific SciKeep tool?
Yes. Every tool has its own address of the form /tools/ followed by its name, such as /tools/dilution-calculator. Sharing that link opens the tool directly. Because tools run entirely in the browser, a recipient needs no account and no installation to use one.
Do I need an account to use SciKeep?
No. All calculators and analysis tools work without signing in, and your data stays in your own browser. An account is never required to use the tools. Signing in saves your text records — notebook, protocols, inventories — to your account so they survive a cleared cache or a new computer, and a Lab plan shares one copy across the lab. Images never sync and never leave your device.
